A quick post to show you the finished product of what the booth looks like*.
Most of Friday (we felt like we could have worked longer, but didn’t) and then a mammoth 12 hour day on Saturday were spent measuring, cutting, pasting and decorating the booth. Working on something like this certainly allows opportunities to visit stores that you wouldn’t otherwise. If you are ever in New York City and would like to know the quickest, most direct route to a Home Depot or Kmart from Times Square, be sure to contact us! It has been brilliant however that NYC is the city that never sleeps as everything it would seem is open until 11pm – nothing like a quick trip to Home Depot at 9pm at night to see what sort of carpet they stock!
Today was the first day open to trade for the show. There was a fantastic vibe, and it was utterly inspiring to wander (albeit briefly) around – taking in various booths and the products that they displayed. I was pleasantly surprised by the feedback on my work, given that the location and size of my booth would make it very easy to walk by. It has made me all the more excited for the next two and a half days.
I’m hopeful that I’ll post again before the end of the show, but to say that we are exhausted by the end of each day would be an understatement. So if it is a bit quiet from this end, know that we are well and loving every minute, but are quite probably using our time off to sleep!
*my apologies for the poor quality pictures, they were the best I could get before the rush this morning – and without a tripod I found it difficult to get good results for the lighting.
